About Amninder Ripsy

"I started my career in psychiatry at the age of 15 and had been always interested in psychology psychopathology psychiatry combined. I went to nursing school and then medical school where I got a M.D degree to pursue my passion. I then realized I was missing the most important part, which is the holistic approach and Humanistic approach when interacting with patients and giving them a diagnosis which can change ones life. Not only that, my passion began for therapy as a kid when I myself grew up in a house full of problems and struggles with a lot of misunderstandings and being unable to talk about personal problems due to culture, race, issue, ethnicity, religion and much more playing a role. Anxiety, stress, major depressive disorder, PTSD, OCD, neurological related disorders and most importantly trauma are one of my highlights of experience.

I wanted to combined therapy with medicine as my heart and soul have only been there and I see my self doing nothing else except helping someone in need. My purpose of relocating to the east coast is to pursue my career in medicine as a doctor but also to pursue my career in clinical psychology with a perspective PhD in clinical psychology. Aligning therapy with medicine and trying to help individuals suffering is where my heart calls for the most. I am here for a purpose and to help individuals understand themselves and find themselves while offering resilience and existential and Humanistic approach using person centered therapy and many more therapeutic approaches.

Regards,

Dr. Amninder Ripsy Nagra M.D M.A BSC ( Prospective PhD 2026)"
